Cross-country skiing toward Grouse Gap, Mount Ashland, ORBoycott Ski Ashland this winter!

Activism takes many forms including the way you spend your money.  By purchasing goods and services that support sustainability and the health of the planet and society, you can make change happen.

If you are concerned at all about the long-term health and ecological integrity of Mount Ashland, please don't spend your money at the Mount Ashland Ski Area: it will be used to promote, fund, and implement their ecologically-destructive expansion plan.

Join the growing number of skiers & snowboarders who are choosing not to be part of the ski area's proposed expansion into the pristine Middle Branch.

Here are some tips:

  • Don't purchase a season pass or lift tickets for Mount Ashland Ski Area this winter!

  • Tell the ski area that you don't intend to spend your money there and why.  Call General Manager Kim Clark at 541-482-2897.  This is important: the ski area needs to know you won't support their full-scale expansion!

  • Also let the ski area know that you don't plan on donating your money to their multi-million dollar expansion fundraising effort once it begins.

  • Take advantage of other winter recreation opportunities (many are free!) and ski or snowboard at other ski areas.

  • Encourage your friends, family, and visiting guests to join you by choosing not to give their money to Ski Ashland's destructive expansion plans.

  • Download the Boycott Ski Ashland flyer and handbills and distribute them freely.
